Mom,

I really, really would like to get a duck. I’d even build him a pen in the back all by myself. I’d get him for free and would spend my own mony on stuff for him. Like wire for a cage and food and a dish. I’d name him Kody (Cody). I’ve been thinking about a name all day! So, what do you say? Pretty please with sugar on top?

That’s awesome Ames. If I would’ve known you at a younger age, I would’ve given you one of my ducks. Heck, I would’ve thrown in a chicken, a goose and a guinea hen as well.

Where were you going to get a duck anyway? I have no recollection. Good thing I saved the note! :) My mom saved a similar note that I wrote her, only I was pleading for a baby raccoon. And I didn’t fold it cute like you did. :)
