Running Buddy
On Saturday morning, I ran a 5K with a 9 year old named Alyssa from Girls on the Run. It wasn’t easy for her, but with a lot of encouragement, some hand-holding (literally), a bit of skipping, and a few bouts of walking, she (we) finished the Race for the Cure. Watching her sprint through the finish line and take her (plastic) medal made me so (so!) proud.
